MIS TRES HERMANAS (MTH) is born out of the necessity of the actor/writer/producer Lia Chapman to grow as a person and artist.  The focus of MTH is to tell stories dealing with the way human beings interrelate in order to survive, breaking pre-established modes of storytelling.

MTH begins with the focus on "saying what we want to say the way we think it should be said".  Our first collaboration is the emotionally harsh film Olga, Victoria, Olga.  Argentinean writer/director/producer Mercedes Farriols navigates a painful relationship without losing a bit of truth, narrating the story full of artistry and beauty. In this moving film, Mercedes never stops to ask permission for all the unconventional risks she takes to tell and construct her story.  Her extraordinary work has received more than 20 awards including one for best film in the Israel International Film Festival.

For That Kiss (CLICK HERE to view), the second project for MTH, Lia served as writer/producer and actress opposite Daniel Freire (Lucia y el Sexo).  Director Kamala Lopez deals with the inability for a couple, who love each other, to find common ground in which to communicate, ultimately ending with dire circumstances.  The short has had great success at New York Latino Film Festival, San Diego Latino Film Festival, Clermont–Ferrand and the 1st Festival International de Cine Mujer, Miradas Madrid, Festival de Cine Pobre de Gibara, Foc de Valencia, to name a few.

LLAGAS, now in post-production, is the second short film and joint venture for MTH for Lia and Kamala Lopez.

In January 2009 Lia again teamed up with Mercedes Farriols in Buenos Aires as producer/actor in the film 432UNO.  The film is generating quite a bit of festival buzz.

MTH created LOLA BAR as a space to support and encourage the visual arts.  At LOLA BAR film makers, especially young artists can show their art in short film to network and celebrate creativity.  Situated in Chueca, Madrid is the place to go if you have any connection in the film world.  Here the young film makers have the opportunity to have their work shown to the Spanish Film Industry.

Lia is also a founding member of 4Makers, a production company whose home base is in Argentina.
